The properties mentioned in section 5 were formerly held
by trustees on behalf of the Association.
5. The Association is one which has been formed for the
mutual benefit of the Japanese fesidents in this Colony and for social and benevolent purposes amongst the Japanese com- munity.
The Association was formed about ten years ago and
has now a present membership of approximately 600.
6. The first two properties mentioned in section 5 are con- trolled by the Association and are used for the purpose of a primary school and a Japanese crematorium, respectively.
7. The third property is at present vacant land, but it is the intention of the Association, when they are in a position to do so, to help their members to carry out a building scheme
on this property.

In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excellency the Governor may properly assent in the name of His Majesty
and on His behalf.
